1. On-line requisition registration service
This new on-line service, available since January 2012, seeks to offer the clientele a quick and simple way to transmit requisitions in order to improve the efficiency of registration of rights in the Land Register.
The on-line requisition registration service becomes an essential tool to proceed rapidly with an application for registration of rights in the Land Register. A client who applies for registration of a requisition service must first open a client file with the on-line Land Register of Québec, and then start a work session on the Land Register’s website. A simple and user-friendly interface then allows the client to prepare an on-line application for registration. During preparation of the on-line application, the system assists the client interactively and validates the presence, coherence and accuracy of the information in order to minimize the number of errors and irregularities.
When the on-line application is completed, the client has the choice of submitting the requisition electronically by affixing the digital signature or signatures required and attaching to the application all the files that are part of the registration requisition.
A client who prefers to submit the requisition in paper format must first complete the application on-line and then print the registration slip. This slip must be attached to the requisition in paper format, which bears a handwritten signature. The registration slip and the requisition must be submitted together at the registry office concerned.
2. Registration with specialized software
It is also possible to transmit a registration requisition electronically with tools designed for this purpose.
3. Registration in paper version
The documents in paper version are filed at the registry office of the registration division concerned. These documents are not processed or analyzed at this registry office. They are scanned and transmitted to one of the eight regional operations centres. The registration hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on business days.
