Description
Quartz arenite belonging to the Robitaille Formation.
The property is located in the Saint-Mathieu area
of the Bas-Saint-Laurent Region. Prospecting,
geological mapping, sampling, and cutting tests
made it possible to identify the potential of
four varieties of sandstone of different colours.
The red one (Basque variety)is extracted since
2005. It is used as landscaping stone and in masonry.
