Description

Leucogabbronorite belonging to the late anorthositic intrusions mapped in Taché Township. The quarry, which has been in operation since the end of 1990, is located southwest of Saint-Nazaire, in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean Region. The stone, available in rough blocks, is used mainly to produce cut-to-size panels, slabs, tiles, monuments, and curbstones.
