Description
Porphyritic quartz mangerite
belonging to the Saint-Didace Massif. The quarries,
which has been in operation since the end of 1980,
are located southeast and east of Saint-Alexis-des-Monts,
in the Mauricie Region. The stone, available in
rough blocks, is primarily used to produce cut-to-size
panels, slabs, tiles, and curbstones.
