Description
Charcoal brown, porphyritic farsundite belonging
to the Rivière-à-Pierre Suite. Both quarries, which
have been in operation since the beginning of 1930 and 1970, are
located north of Rivière-à-Pierre, in the Capitale-Nationale
Region. Uses for the stone include producing cut-to-size panels,
slabs, tiles, and curbstones.
