Description
Porphyritic farsundite or quartz mangerite belonging
to the Rivière-à-Pierre Suite. The quarry, which has
been in operation since the end of 1980, is located north of Rivière-à-Pierre,
in the Capitale-Nationale Region. The stone, available in rough
blocks, is primarily used to produce cut-to-size panels, slabs,
tiles, and curbstones.
