Description
Porphyritic quartz mangerite or quartz jotunite
belonging to the Rivière-à-Pierre Suite. The quarry,
which has been in operation since the middle of 1980, is located
north of Rivière-à-Pierre, in the Capitale-Nationale
Region. The stone, available in rough blocks, is used mainly to
produce cut-to-size panels, slabs, tiles, monuments, and curbstones.
