Description
Green and brown, medium-grained
hypersthene syenite, with blue highlights, belonging
to the Havre-Saint-Pierre Anorthositic Suite.
The quarry, which has been in operation since
2004, is located northeast of Magpie, in the Côte-Nord
Region. The stone is used to produce cut-to-size
panels, slabs, and kitchen or bathroom counters.
