Description
Limestone belonging to the Grondines Member of
the Neuville Formation (Trenton Group). It is bluish or brownish
grey, dark, laminated, and dense, with many interbeds of argillaceous
shale. The stone, which has been quarried since 1955, is used for
masonry: walls, retaining walls, foundations, and exterior finishes
for construction.
