Description
Blocks of stromatolitic dolomite belonging to the
Albanel Formation. Glacial transportation accounts for the presence
of blocks more than 300 kilometres for their place of origin. The
quarry, which has been in operation intermittently since 2000, is
located south of Laterrière, in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean
Region. The blocks are used as landscaping stone.
