Description
Blackish grey quartz arenite belonging to the Cairnside
Formation (Potsdam Group). Both quarries, which have been in operation
since 1958, are located in Havelock, in the Montérégie
Region. The stone's uses include producing cut stone, flagstones,
and cobblestones for the residential construction market.
