Description
Bluish grey siltstone belonging to the Saint-Léon
Formation (Mont Wissick Group). The quarry, which has been in operation
since 1977, is located north of Saint-Cléophas, in the Bas-Saint-Laurent
Region. The stone is mainly used for flagstones, paving stones and
stones for fireplaces, house facings, and retaining walls. It can
also be used as decorative stone or cut stone.
