Description
Dark grey, almost black slate from the Saint-Victor
Formation (Magog Group). It contains lighter-coloured sandy or silty
interbedding. The quarry, which has been in operation since the
end of 1998, is located in Bromptonville, in the Estrie Region.
The stone’s uses include producing kitchen counters, flagstones,
and landscaping stone.
