Description
Black serpentinite containing green chlorite can
be found as enclaves in talc schist near the contacts of the Pennington
sheet within the Thetford-Mines Ophiolitic Complex. This rock has
been quarried for several years at East Broughton in the Chaudière-Appalaches
region. It is used as carving and decorative stone.
