Main new elements

• Implementation of a new walleye/sauger management plan, including new length limits and obligation to distinguish between walleye and sauger in certain zones (see page 10).
• All fish species caught during sport fishing are henceforth measured from the tip of the snout to the tip of the tail, except for Atlantic salmon (see page 11).
• The length limits applicable for lake trout, muskellunge and sturgeon have been modified to take into account the new way of measuring fish (see page 11).
• The catch limit for walleye/sauger increases from 6 to 10 in the CWA of Lac-Saint-Jean (zone 28).
• Change in the fishing season for salmonidae in the zone 1.
• Smelt fishing using a spear is henceforth no longer allowed in certain rivers of the Gaspésie region (zones).
• Change in the opening date in certain wildlife sanctuaries.
• Change in the fishing rules for a portion of rivière Chaudière (zone 7).
• Change in the fishing rules in zone 7.
• Change in the fishing rules for a portion of Rivière du Sud (zone 21).
• Change in the fishing rules in the CWA of Lac-Saint-Jean and in certain other bodies of water of zone 28.
• Fly-fishing only in rivière Malbaie (zones 21 and 27).
• New fishing seasons for perch in the fleuve Saint-Laurent (zones 7 and 8).
• Change in the fishing rules in the AFC of Réservoir Gouin (zone 14).
• Spear fishing is henceforth only permitted for American eel on Îles-de-la-Madeleine (see page 7).
• New opening date for bass in Rivière du Chêne (zone 7).
• Change in certain fishing seasons in the Baskatong Communal Wildlife Area (zone 11).
• New fishing seasons for landlocked salmon in zone 28.
